This Bowflex product is basically an all in one heart rate monitor, pedometer and calorie counter. It does not require any kind of chest strap which is great because it means you still get the benefits of a heart rate monitor without the hassle of wearing an uncomfortable chest strap. I thought I would just list a few of the features to give people an idea of what to expect before purchasing it.
- All in one heart monitor, pedometer and calorie counter

These are a few of the features you can expect, although nothing new, when it comes to these kind of devices everything it does have works well.
I found that the heart rate monitor was very accurate for a monitor that does not use a chest strap function. Normally you find that with devices that don’t have a chest strap the readings can be a bit irregular.
I was pleasantly surprised with this one, I was also surprised with how well it read my overall step count. I have used a pedometer before and I tested it by walking the same distance at the same pace over a period of time. I found that with the other pedometer I noticed some inconsistencies. However I found this one to be generally accurate, so for the price this is a good heart monitor pedometer.
I do have one complaint, it is nothing too major, as once you get to grips with it you should be OK. However I found it just a little complicated when it came to resetting it and I had to keep referring to the user manual to make sure I was doing it right. When I got the hang of it I was fine, but I do think that a novice might find this very difficult to use. Therefore I don’t think I would recommend this product to a beginner.
I would say for someone who has used a pedometer or anything like this before, it would be easier to understand and get to grips with than for someone who has never used anything like this before.
Generally this is a good little device if I was to recommend a heart monitor pedometer, I would recommend this one to anyone who has used something of this nature in the past. However as stated before I would advise someone who is a novice in this area to get something a bit more basic.
I would recommend purchasing this item from somewhere like Ebay or Amazon, as you will definitely be able to get a better deal than going to a sports store.
